Santa Rita Well Restoration

University Lands has restored the site of the first well to produce crude oil on its lands. The site of the Santa Rita #1 well, about an hour outside of Midland, TX, in Reagan county, received a complete makeover while preserving as much of the site’s original fabric as possible.

EnerCom held its annual The Oil & Gas Conference® this week in Denver, Colorado, which was attended by investment professionals and key senior management teams from more than 100 companies from across the globe.

On Wednesday morning, University Lands Senior Vice President of Operations, Richard Brantley, gave a presentation outlining UL’s water management initiatives for its 2.1 million Permian acres.  Brantley focused on “full-cycle water management,” in which the scale of the UL’s acreage can be utilized to consolidate operations and bring a responsible, economic and holistic approach to water management.
